In this week's episode:
Do The Cleveland Indians Need A Centerfielder?
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced that he will not run for president in 2020. Brown campaigned in four early primary and caucus states during his "Dignity Of Work" tour, but has decided he can be more effective by staying in the U.S. Senate.
Running On Empty
Gov. Mike DeWine’s argued for an 18-cent-per-gallon gas tax increase to fund road repair in his recent State of the State address. But Republican lawmakers in the Ohio House are fighting him on it, proposing to raise the fuel tax by just 10.7 cents on gasoline and 20 cents on diesel.
ODOT Director Jack Marchbanks quickly responded, saying that such a package would be "inadequate for our needs."
Snollygoster Of The Week
Hillary Clinton told a New York TV station that she would not be running in 2020, but the next day a New York Times reporter tweeted that the decision may not be a final as it sounded.
