On this week's episode of After the Score, host Steve Brown talks about Braxton Miller's decision to return to the Buckeyes, the upcoming MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati, and ultra-marathoning.
Braxton Is Back
The three-way battle for the starting quarterback position at Ohio State will continue through training camp, after two-time Big Ten Player of the Year Braxton Miller said Thursday that he will return to the team instead of transferring. Miller dominated the conference for Urban Meyer's first two years at the helm of OSU, but sat out all of the 2014 season after re-injuring his surgically-repaired shoulder last summer. For more on the interesting season ahead, Steve Brown spoke with Patrick Maks, who covers college football for The New York Times.
Cincinnati hosts MLB All-Star Game
It’s mid-July, which means it’s time for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. This year’s contest is being played right here in Ohio, in the Queen City of Cincinnati. Like always, lots of good story lines in the All-Star game. For a closer look at some of the best story lines, Steve talked with Grant Freking, who covers the Cincinnati Reds for Red Leg Nation and Cincinnati Magazine.
Untra-Marathoning
Finally this week, we wanted to bring you an encore presentation of a guy who I basically think is crazy. His name is P.J. Jaegerson, and he’s an ultra-marathoner. That means he runs dozens and dozens of miles at a time…on purpose!
