A 2-year-old boy was seriously injured in what Columbus police say was a drive-by shooting Sunday evening.

Media outlets report officers were called just before 9:00 p.m. to a home on Carlton Avenue on the city's southeast side.

Sgt. Joseph Albert had this to say to the suspects, "You obviously know your involvement here. You might not have intended to shoot a two-year-old, but you did shoot a two-year-old. We’re asking you to do the right thing, call and turn yourself in.”

The child is in critical condition at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
