A Bishop Ready High School wrestling coach is facing misdemeanor charges after being accused of inappropriately touching a teenager last year.

Franklin County Municipal Court documents say 46-year-old Anthony Aiello is charged with sexual imposition, telephone harassment and public indecency.

Documents also reveal another incident which claims that in November 2023, Aiello allegedly touched himself inappropriately while speaking to the same teen in a FaceTime call.

The Diocese of Columbus responded in a statement saying, “Anthony Aiello has been employed annually as a wrestling coach by Bishop Ready High School since 2017. Anthony Aiello is no longer employed with the Diocese of Columbus.

The statement also reads, “The diocese takes child protection seriously and remains vigilant in combating the perception and reality of child abuse."

Aiello was released on a $1,000 surety bond.
