David Cantrell, 30, has been arrested on a charge of gross sexual imposition related to an incident that allegedly occurred at a daycare where he worked.

Westerville Police arrested David Cantrell, 30, of Columbus on Tuesday on a charge of gross sexual imposition related to an incident at a daycare where he worked, Westerville Police Detective Steve Grubbs confirmed.

Grubbs said Cantrell has been indicted.

The alleged incident involved one child and took place in May 2022 at The Nest Schools on Dempsey Road. The daycare and preschool offers before- and after-school care for Hawthorne Elementary, Huber Ridge Elementary and Wilder Elementary.

Cantrell was known to be an employee at daycares around the Columbus area, according to police.
