The Ohio Board of Education has voted to rescind a resolution condemning racism.
The resolution passed last year in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, but was recently criticized by some members for calling on educators to undergo implicit bias training, which some compared to critical race theory.
Critical race theory is a graduate and law school concept not currently taught in Ohio's K-12 schools.
The board voted 10-7 on Wednesday to replace the resolution condemning racism with another to "promote academic excellence for all K through 12 students without prejudice or respect to race or ethnicity."
