Students can once again access in-person tutoring at Columbus libraries, starting Monday. The Columbus Metropolitan Library will open school help centers at 21 of its 23 locations.
This is the first-time students will be able to visit the centers since March 2020 when the pandemic began.
“I think it helps children tremendously especially just having a place to come after school to meet up with friends and friendly staff and enjoy an atmosphere conducive to learning and that’s really what we are all about,” Columbus Metropolitan Library spokesman Ben Zenitsky said.
Masks will be required. The library has offered virtual school help through a new website.
“Study tools and test prep and your students can get connected one-on-one with virtual tutors Monday through Friday from 2 to 11pm because we know a lot of students are staying up late to get those last homework assignments done before bed,” Zentisky said.
