For the second year in a row, there will not be a Red, White and Boom fireworks display in downtown Columbus in early July.
A statement from the organization’s board of trustees says the July 2 event has been canceled because of permitting issues with the city and they hope to hold it at a later date.
The Red, White and Boom trustees are made up of representatives from WCMH-TV, Pepsi, Encova Insurance and WNCI-FM.
Organizers canceled last year's Red, White and Boom because of the pandemic.
