In this Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, file photo, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., wears a "Trump Won" face mask as she arrives on the floor of the House to take her oath of office.

A “Back The Blue” rally featuring Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene that was scheduled to take place at the Ohio Statehouse on Saturday has been canceled.

Greene posted a series of tweets on Friday indicating that the rally, which was organized by the Ohio Gun Owners group, had been postponed.

According to her statement, the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board along with the Ohio State Patrol denied security for the event after a counter-protest was announced.

Before the cancelation, Ohio Gun Owners Executive Director Chris Dorr said a special honor would be given to Columbus Police Officer Nicholas Reardon who shot and killed 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant last week.

Bodycam footage appeared to show her lunging at another female with a knife just before Reardon fired the shots. Dorr says the event supports police officers statewide.

“We want to let them know that the good, law-abiding people in the state of Ohio have their backs and fully support them," Dorr said.
