CoverMyMeds, one of the largest start-ups in Columbus, announced plans for a $240 million campus project in West Franklinton.
The company says the project, which will be undertaken in two phases, will add more than 1,000 new jobs. The buildings, set along the Scioto River, will be environmentally-friendly and built to LEED standards. The development will also feature bike paths, access to green spaces and public community space.
Phase one of the project will focus on a 200,000-square-foot office building, while phase two would bring a parking garage and another 200,000-square-foot office building.
CoverMyMeds also announced a new partnership with COSI to create a youth program targeted at STEM education in surrounding Franklinton schools. It will also engage with the Columbus Library on adult job training and other resources.
Columbus City Council approved a 15-year, 100 percent property tax abatement in July for the development.
