A Columbus woman is dead after police say her grandfather shot her though the window of their Driving Park home.
Police say Booker Moody, 72, did not know it was his granddaughter Jordan Charlese Victorya Williams outside a home on Berkeley Road when he shot her just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the two lived together and Williams, 19, knocked on the window to wake up Moody because she didn't have keys to get inside.
Williams was found unresponsive in the home’s front yard and died a short time later at Grant Medical Center.
Police say “an active shooter scenario” prompted SWAT officers to surround the home. Moody was eventually arrested on murder charges.
