One person was killed and five others were injured in two separate crashes involving Amish horse-drawn buggies in Ohio on Sunday.
In Pike County, Barbara Swarey, 18, reportedly died after a carriage driven by another teenager was hit from behind by a 23-year-old man from New York around 6 p.m.
The driver of the buggy was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
About an hour after the Pike County crash, a car collided with a horse-drawn buggy in Fairfield County, sending at least four people to the hospital.
Investigators say children were among those hurt when the vehicles collided on State Route 159 near the village of Amanda, about 25 miles southeast of Columbus.
Emergency responders say none of those injuries appeared to be life-threatening. One of the horses pulling the buggy was euthanized.
State troopers are investigating what caused the crash.
The driver of the car was taken into custody, but there was no immediate word on any charges.
