The Columbus Board of Education launched an online survey Wednesday to learn the community's priorities for the district’s next superintendent.

Columbus School board members want to hear from students, parents, teachers and staff about what characteristics and skills they would like in a new superintendent.  The New Superintendent Survey is on the District’s website and on the new Columbus City Schools mobile app.

Board president Gary Baker says this will help to measure the essential qualities the community needs in a new leader.

The district has hired a national search firm to assist in the candidate process.

It will also hold several community meetings later this month.

Current superintendent Dan Good announced in August that he would be retiring at the end of December.A data-rigging scandal forced his predecessor Gene Harris out of office.
