Online retail giant Amazon says it’s building another distribution center in Ohio, this one in the southwest portion of the state.

The company says it will build the 1 million-square-foot facility in the Warren county city of Monroe, just north of Cincinnati. A company press release says the fulfillment center will add about 1,000 jobs to the 6,000 Amazons workers already in Ohio.

Amazon operates warehouses in Etna and Obetz, and has another under construction near Cleveland.

“We welcome Amazon’s commitment to bring 1,000 new jobs to Monroe and its growth in Southwest Ohio,” said JobsOhio president and chief investment officer John Minor in an Amazon press release.

Last month, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 10-year tax credit to incentivize Amazon. The tax credit authority says the estimated value of the credit is $3.8 million.
