A former Dublin high school teacher already facing child pornography charges has been indicted on charges of having sex with a student.
Former Dublin Scioto High School teacher Gregory Lee is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student in his classroom and inside a car at a public park between November 2016 and March of 2017.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said Wednesday that the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted Lee, 52, on two counts of sexual battery.
“While employed as a teacher, this man engaged in sexual acts with a female student for over half of a year,” O’Brien said in a press release.
O’Brien says if convicted on the sexual battery charges, Lee faces numerous years of incarceration as well as registration as a sex offender.
Lee already faced child pornography charges after being accused of sending and receiving hundreds of nude photos and videos with a student.
Many parents have questioned why Lee was allowed to continue teaching after several accusations of inappropriate contact with students.
When he resigned in May, he had a personnel file 283 page long with multiple accusations of inappropriate conduct with students.
Lee is scheduled for arraignment on the sexual battery charges on Friday.
