Ohio State Police have given the "all clear" on Monday afternoon after investigating a "suspicious letter" at Thompson Library, the day's second search of a possible threat on campus.
In a series of tweets, the department said they evacuated a small area at the library "out of an abundance of caution."

Ohio State Police said they do not believe the evacuation is connected to an incident early Monday morning, in which police, responding to a threat of violence, evacuated near the 18th Avenue Library after finding an unidentified bag.
"The suspects made a number of unsubstantiated threats including a statement that they would 'shoot up campus' and indicated bombs were placed in duffel bags with one located at the main entrance of a library," said a public safety notice issued by police. "University Police immediately responded and located an unidentified bag in the area of Ohio State’s 18th Avenue Library."

The notice says other campus libraries were closed overnight and were searched by police as a precaution, but nothing was found.
"It was determined not to be a credible threat," the statement says.
