Grove City Police have confirmed that the body of 21-year-old Ohio State student Reagan Tokes was found in Scioto Grove Metro Park yesterday. Tokes had been shot, and police are investigating the death as a homicide.

Tokes was first reported missing Thursday morning. Police responded to a report of a body in the Grove City park Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say Tokes' car later was found in Columbus.

In a press release Friday morning, Ohio State University said reports indicated Tokes, a fourth-year psychology major, was last seen leaving work in the Short North area of Columbus around 9:45pm on Wednesday night.

The investigation is ongoing, and police will "maintain a visible presence in the campus area," the press release says.

Ohio State encouraged anyone with relevant information to call Grove City Police at 614-277-1710, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Tip Line at 855-224-6446 or Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.

The university is offering counseling services Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Ohio Union's Student Life Multicultural Center.

This post will be updated with more information as the story develops.
