The southbound lanes of Interstate 71 were closed at East North Broadway Thursday morning after an overnight chase ended in a crash.
Police say the chase started in Delaware County when officers tried to pull someone over for questioning about a burglary. The chase continued into Columbus and ended when police punctured the driver's tires and the car flipped onto the freeway.
The driver was hospitalized and police have not given an update on their condition.
The freeway reopened just before 7 am.
