The Columbus Realtors group says home sales in the Columbus area have set another record.

Last month, 2,227 homes and condos in Central Ohio were sold. That’s a nearly 16 percent increase over the same period a year ago.

John Royer, the president of Columbus Realtors, says 2016 is proving to be one of the best years ever for the central Ohio real estate market.

Royer says the demand for homes remains exceedingly strong.

The average sales price for a home in November was $199,000 dollars – a 10 percent increase over the same period a year ago.
