First Season Of Beer Sales In Ohio Stadium Brings In $1.1 Million

It's been a good season not just for the Ohio State football team, but also for vendors inside during the stadium's first season of beer sales during Buckeye games. Fans, it seems, have been drinking to the Buckeyes' success.

Ohio State University officials say they sold $1.1 million worth of beer during the seven home football games during the 2016 season. That means fans bought at least 122,000 beers each game.

OSU said it was using the extra money to boost security and hire four new police officers.

Columbus Business First reporter Tom Knox joins us to talk about how much fans spent on beer at Ohio Stadium.
