A memorial tribute to the late George Voinovich, a former two-term Ohio governor and U.S. senator, is planned for the Ohio Statehouse.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich, House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger and Senate President Keith Faber announced that the Wednesday afternoon service was set up to honor Voinovich's life.
The event set for 5 p.m. in the Statehouse atrium is free and open to the public.
Voinovich died in June at age 79. He was also a former Cleveland mayor.
