Adam Foster, of Liberty Center, is suspected of assaulting the woman at her home last year while they were off duty.

A message seeking comment was left Monday for his lawyer, who had indicated the 33-year-old Foster would turn himself in to authorities.

Foster was fired in September after an internal investigation. The investigation found that Foster had made unwanted physical advances toward a different female trooper while demonstrating defensive tactics at the State Highway Patrol's academy in Columbus.

He was an instructor there. He also had worked at the patrol's Swanton post in northwest Ohio.
