The featured speaker is Mark Wynn, an expert on domestic violence and sexual assault prevention.
A morning session will expose the realities of violence committed against women, and the dangers to those who aid victims.
An afternoon session will teach self-protection when avoidance is not an option.
Law enforcement personnel, victims, and allies will discuss domestic violence and how to prevent it. The conference at the Columbus police academy on Hague Avenue begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. On-site registration is available.
