The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a white powder found in the Ohio Statehouse Wednesday morning turned out to be harmless.
Patrol Lt. Tim Karwatske says a hazmat team responded after someone found a white powdery substance on the floor.
“We responded, as we normally would, by calling the fire department,” Lt. Karwatske said.
“It turned out to be sand.
Katwatske says some employees were held in place for about 45 minutes as fire officials investigated.
