The Central Ohio Transit Authority has fired a bus driver accused of discriminating against a gay passenger.
The incident came to light in bus surveillance footage showing Jacqueline Willis stop her bus on June 2 to tell passenger Ben Purdom "Stop what you're doing."
The video showed Purdom sitting quietly in his seat. When he asked what he did, Willis appeared to reply "You gonna sit there like you're not doing nothing. But my body knows you're doing something."

Willis remained on the side of the road until police arrived. Another COTA employee came to the scene and took Purdom to his destination.
Purdom told the Columbus Dispatch that COTA "made the right decision."
COTA says that while no discrimination was found, driver Jacqueline Willis was terminated for “egregious, unbecoming conduct.”
