Bri'onte Dunn Kicked Off OSU Football Team

Ohio State University

Bri'onte Dunn, a former top recruit, was kicked off the Ohio State football team on Monday, the same day a woman filed for a civil protection order against him.

A one-line written statement from Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer said Dunn was kicked off the team for violating team rules.

The Columbus Dispatch cites sources as saying Dunn was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend last weekend.

Franklin County Court of Common Pleas records

Franklin County online court records show a woman filed on Monday for a protection order against Dunn.

The Canton native came to OSU in 2012 as a four-star recruit who turned down offers from other top schools, but has mostly failed to live up to the hype.

With the departure of star running back Ezekiel Elliott, Dunn was expected to compete against redshirt freshman Mike Weber, Jr. for the starting position.
