It’s been 15 years since the disappearance of a Marysville woman. Even with few answers, it's still one of the area's most talked-about cases.
Early on the morning of June 30, 2001, Patricia "Patti" Adkins clocked out of her job at the Marysville Honda plant and was never heard from again.
She’d taken her young daughter to her sister’s house the day before and told her she was taking a week-long trip to Canada with her boyfriend.
That man, who was married at the time, was never charged, and it’s still not clear what happened to Adkins, although investigators have declared her dead.
Adkins’ case has been featured on America’s Most Wanted and other national crime shows. The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the case is considered cold, but active.
