1st Woman To Fly Solo Around World Honored At Exhibit In Her Hometown

A new exhibit in Newark tells the story of its hometown native Jerrie Mock.  In 1964, she became the first woman to fly solo around the world.  Her story, though, is not well known as another female pilot, Amelia Earhart.

To learn more about the exhibit, WOSU's Debbie Holmes spoke with the Marcia Downes, Managing Director at The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology.
