A 15-year-old boy accused of shooting and wounding two students in an Ohio school cafeteria is set for a pretrial hearing on charges including attempted murder.
James Austin Hancock is due in court Tuesday. His attorney entered pleas of not guilty on the boy's behalf last month in Butler County Juvenile Court.
The teen is charged in the Feb. 29 shooting at Madison Local Schools near Middletown. He was indicted as a juvenile under a serious youthful offender classification on attempted murder, felonious assault and inducing panic.
Hancock was 14 at the time of the shooting and has been in juvenile detention since his arrest.
Law enforcement officials haven't revealed a motive.
The Associated Press generally doesn't identify juveniles charged with crimes, but Hancock's name has been widely reported.
