Insurgent Establishment Democrats Close In On Victory
The endorsed Democrats for Franklin County Commissioner and Sheriff appear headed to ousting their fellow Democrat incumbents. With more than half the precincts reporting, State Rep. Kevin Boyce maintains his 20 percentage point lead over incumbent Paula Brooks.
The race for Franklin County Sheriff is tighter. Incumbent Zach Scott trails challenger Dallas Baldwin by 4,700 votes - 52% to 48%.

PG Sittenfeld calls for Democratic Unity.
Cincinnati City Councilman PG Sittenfeld who waged an energetic positive campaign only to come up very short in his race against former governor Ted Strickland, reached out to the victor of the Democratic US Senate primary. Sittenfeld said it's time for "Democratic unity."

Kevin Boyce, Dallas Baldwin grab early leads in Franklin County contests
With 30 of 1025 precincts reporting, the endorsed Democrats have early leads over their anti-establishment but incumbent opponents. In the race for Franklin County Commissioner, State Rep. Kevin Boyce has a 60% to 40% lead over incumbent Paula Brooks. Incumbent Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott trails his challenger Dallas Baldwin 55% to 45%.

John Kasich wins presidential primary in Ohio
JohnKasich wins the Republican presidential primary in his home state of Ohio, capturing his first victory of the 2016 White House campaign.

Cable Networks Project Kasich Wins Ohio
Fox News, CNN and NBC project Governor John Kasich as the winner of the Republican primary in Ohio. The Associated Press has yet to call the race, but Kasich had a big lead among early voters and maintains an 10 point lead in early returns. Exit polls show Kasich captured 58 percent of voters who decided late.

Projection: Hillary Clinton Wins Ohio
AP: Hillary Clinton projected to win Ohio Democratic primary, beating back late challenge from Bernie Sanders.

Strickland up big in early voting
Ted Strickland posted a big margin in Ohio's early vote. Ted Strickland captured 70 percent of early Democratic primary voters while P.G. Sittenfeld captured 20 percent.

Kasich, Clinton post big early voting leads
Early voting results show John Kasich and Hillary Clinton with large leads among voters who cast early ballots.
John Kasich has 45 percent of the vote compared to 32 percent for Donald Trump, 14 percent for Ted Cruz and 7 percent for Marco Rubio.
Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders 69 percent to 30 percent.
