A new independent poll shows the race to win Ohio’s GOP presidential primary is tightening. The poll from Quinnipiac University says GOP front runner Donald Trump and Ohio governor John Kasich are tied in Ohio, with each getting 38 percent support among likely GOP voters in Tuesday's primary.

The survey comes just five days after another Quinnipiac poll gave Trump a six-point lead over Kasich is his home state.

The poll shows a strong gender gap, with men backing Trump and Kasich winning with women.

On the Democratic side, the poll gives Hillary Clinton a 51 to 46 percent lead. That’s down from a nine point lead in the same poll last week.
