Trump To Make Presidential Campaign Stop In Ohio

NPR
Donald Trump plan to visit Columbus next week.

Republican presidential contender Donald Trump is slated to make a campaign stop in swing state Ohio next week.

The celebrity businessman is scheduled to speak Monday evening at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. He last publicly appeared in the perennial battleground state this summer during the GOP's first presidential debate in Cleveland.

Trump is bringing his campaign to the home state of one of his rivals for the GOP nomination - Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Kasich and Trump clashed on immigration during last week's Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee.

A Quinnipiac University poll from Oct. 7 indicated Trump was running ahead of Kasich among Ohio Republicans, with 23 percent of GOP voters saying they would vote for Trump while 13 percent said they would go for Kasich.
