Ohio Drivers Get Another Break At Gas Pump

The national average for regular fuel was slightly higher at about $2.16 on Monday, down 6 cents from a week earlier. At this time last year, it was $2.89.

Good news for Ohio motorists as the holiday season gears up: Gas prices are hovering around the $2 mark.

The state average was about $2.01 for a gallon of regular gas in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That's 19 cents cheaper than the average last Monday and 36 cents cheaper than the price a month ago.

The national average for regular fuel was slightly higher at about $2.16 on Monday, down 6 cents from a week earlier. At this time last year, it was $2.89.

Higher oil supplies are driving the lowest average gas prices since 2009.
