Drivers around Ohio are seeing lower fuel costs to start the week compared with last week.
The state average was about $2.20 for a gallon of regular gas in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That's 11 cents cheaper than the average last Monday and 65 cents cheaper than the price a year ago.
The national average for regular fuel was slightly higher at about $2.22 on Monday, up two pennies from a week earlier. At this time last year, it was $2.93.
The national average has risen a bit in recent weeks as crude costs increased slightly.
