The granddaughter of artist Pablo Picasso is scheduled to deliver a free public lecture in Columbus discussing a new art exhibition exploring his legacy.
Diana Widmaier Picasso will be speaking at an event that coincides with the exhibit After Picasso: 80 Contemporary Artists, which is now on view at the Wexner Center for the Arts on the Ohio State University campus.
She is slated to join Jack Cowart, executive director of The Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, for a lecture Nov. 13 at adjacent Mershon Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The show features 150 works by 80 artists, including the pop artist Lichtenstein that explore and reflect on the work of Picasso, considered one of the 20th century's most influential artists.
Lichtenstein's Brushstrokes in Flight greets travelers at Port Columbus International Airport.
Diana Widmaier Picasso co-curated Picasso.mania, on view at the Grand Palais in Paris until February 28, 2016.
