Art work by Ohio prison inmates from several correctional facilities is going on display at a Columbus gallery Thursday.
The exhibit titled "Inside Looking Out: Creative Works by Ohio Prison Inmates" opens Thursday at the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery.
The show includes traditional art work along with art made from recycled materials. The works were created by prisoners at 19 facilities, including Grafton, Richland, Ross, Southern Ohio and Trumbull correctional facilities and the Ohio Women's Reformatory in Marysville.
The exhibit is a joint project of the arts council, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and the Correctional Institution Inspection Committee.
