Columbus police say they continue to investigate the shooting death of a husband and father of six who was gunned down in a Columbus restaurant parking lot.
Shueyb Abukar was shot in front of his family at a Golden Corral restaurant in what appears to be a random robbery attempt. He was pronounced dead later at a hospital.
The Division of Police says detectives continue to follow up on leads from the scene, but Sgt. David Pelphrey says there’s nothing new to report since the shooting occurred Friday evening, October 23rd.
On Thursday, police released digital images of the suspect and asked for the public’s help if the individual looked familiar.
