Coming off a weekend visit to the early primary state of Iowa, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is taking his presidential campaign to Chicago next.
Kasich's campaign says the two-term governor and former congressman plans a meet-and-greet at a Portillo's restaurant in Chicago on Tuesday afternoon.
Kasich continues to poll toward the bottom of the crowded GOP presidential field. New Day for America, a super PAC supporting Kasich, began airing new ads last week in New Hampshire emphasizing Kasich's experience balancing the federal budget.
Kasich bucked most of the Republican candidates last week when he said that while he wants to strip federal money from Planned Parenthood, he didn't want to risk a government shutdown to do it.
