An Ohio couple is charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangering after their 11-month-old son died from ingesting heroin.

Franklin County prosecutor Ron O'Brien says medics pronounced Dominic Dickinson dead after responding to a report of a baby not breathing at a Columbus home on May 13. O'Brien says the baby ingested heroin and fentanyl, a powerful painkiller.

O'Brien said Tuesday the grand jury indicted 32-year-old Denise Dickinson and 29-year-old Kyle Black in the death.

Court records don't show attorneys available to comment on the charges. The defendants could face up to 11 years in prison if convicted.

The indictment comes a week after a similar indictment charged a mother in the death of her 14-month-old daughter May 27 in Columbus.

O'Brien said that child also ingested heroin and fentanyl.
