Ohio Board Approves Ballot Wording For Redistricting issue

The Ohio Ballot Board has approved language for state issues on the November ballot.

The Ohio Ballot Board has approved the wording voters will see this fall while deciding the fate of redistricting changes and restrictions aimed at keeping monopolies or cartels from being added to the state constitution.

The five-member board was meeting Tuesday afternoon to determine the ballot language and adopt explanations and arguments that appear in newspapers ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

The panel also will consider the ballot language for a proposal that would legalize marijuana.

At the meeting, Secretary of State Jon Hustedannounced the lineup of the issues on the ballot. The redistricting proposal will be Issue 1. The so-called anti-monopoly or cartel measure will be known as Issue 2. And the marijuana legalization initiative will appear as Issue 3.
