A second body was discovered in the Olentangy River shortly before noon, on Thursday.
Columbus Police and Franklin County Sheriff dive crews were looking for Joseph Welch. Welch went under water near a low-head dam, north of Ohio State, last weekend along with his half-brother, Anthony Martin.
Martin's body was recovered, Wednesday, after helicopter personnel spotted his body in the Olentangy River near Highway 315 and Goodale Boulevard.
Columbus Police spokesman Sergeant Rich Weiner said police believe the remains discovered Thursday are that of Wells.
Weiner said the Columbus Police dive team found the body about 200 yards from where Martin was previously located.
"The dive team began walking the banks and it led them to a very large debris field, which they had to dig through, to get to this body," he said.
Weiner said the coroner will help positively identify the body.
Columbus Police dive master Stephen Kaethow said low-head dams pose a serious threat to water enthusiasts because the force of the water at the dam pins people under.
