Jeni's Splendid Ice creams has offered members of its kitchen staff a buyout.
Business First reports this afternoon the Columbus based ice cream maker offered some employees the option to take a position at one of its scoop shops or receive a severance package.
The Company has been making ice cream at Smith Dairy in Orrville since a second lysteria outbreak at its Michigan Avenue facility in June.
Jeni's closed in April for about a month after listeria was found in a pint of its ice cream in Nebraska.
