Authorities say three 13-year-old boys are suspected of pelting cars with rocks on a central Ohio highway, damaging vehicles and endangering drivers.

Police say rocks and pieces of glass were thrown Friday from a creek under U.S. Route 33, southeast of Columbus. WCMH-TV reports investigators found the boys taking aim at more travelers Monday evening.

Police say the boys, all from nearby Groveport, were taken back to their families and are expected to face charges after further investigation.

Columbus police say at least 20 vehicles were reported to be hit since Friday, including an off-duty officer's car.

Mary Jo Factor of Pickerington had a window in her car shattered by a rock that day. She's upset but says she's glad no one was seriously hurt by the rock-throwing.
