Hollywood Casino Columbus edged out Cleveland's Horseshoe Casino as the top money maker in April. The new figures were released Thursday by the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Last month's revenue for Hollywood Casino Columbus surpassed earnings by the casinos in Cleveland, Toledo and Cincinnati. The Ohio Casino Control Commission says the Columbus casino took in $18,647,077. Cleveland took in slightly less at $18,289,420. Toledo came in third with $16,676,341. Cincinnati was fourth with $15,901,783.
Year-to-date figures, however, show the Cleveland casino out-earning Columbus by more than $4 million.
So far this year all four casinos have brought in nearly $275 million.
