Olentangy Teacher Pleads Not Guilty To Abuse Charges

Delaware County Sheriff's Office

A former Olentangy elementary school teacher accused of sexually abusing several students has pleaded not guilty to charges against him.

Matthew Rausenberg faces up to life in prison if convicted on 32 charges, including gross sexual imposition and kidnapping involving several students.

Rausenberg pleaded not guilty at arraignment in Delaware County Monday morning.

He resigned from his teaching job at Arrowhead Elementary School in Lewis Center after being charged in municipal court on March 16.

Prosecutors say a revelation by a teenage girl to a counselor lead to the charges against Rausenberg. He now faces 32 separate charges.

Rausenberg is jailed in Delaware County in lieu of a $1 million bond.
