The Ohio State University Buckeyes are home now after their triumphant win over the Oregon Ducks. Buses carrying players and coaches rolled up to the Woody Hayes football complex just before sunset yesterday. Were Number One! Were Number One! Several hundred people gathered at the Woody Hayes athletic complex at Ohio State to welcome the national champion Buckeyes home from Texas late Tuesday afternoon. Kim McMillan came from Cambridge. I live 80 miles away. The Buckeyes are coming home. And were here to welcome them home, said McMillan. Marla Marsh and Monica Marsh are sisters who graduated from OSU in 1984. Love the Buckeyes and just wanted to be a part of history, said Marla Mash. Yes, we came up from Cincinnati and woke up this morning and said, Lets get up there and be ready to see em when they come home. Were just so proud, said Monica Marsh. The team made the trip from Rickenbacker Airport in 8 buses accompanied by a police escort. Oh there they are! Before they went inside, a few of the players walked up to the fence to greet the well-wishers. Way to go Buckeyes. We love you, Buckeyes. Coach Urban Meyer did not appear during the arrival. The University is planning an official celebration for a later date.
