Parking fines in Columbus will increase next year, if some city officials get their way. A public hearing will be held tonight at city hall on the proposal to raise fines. Revenues for parking violations have dropped in the last several years. In 2008, the city collected $5.8 million, and so far this year parking fine revenues stand at less than $5.5 million dollars.
