The Democratic National Party's site selection committee wraps up a two day visit to Columbus today. The committee was greeted yesterday with a pep rally and tour of Nationwide Arena. Today, it's a tour of Ohio Stadium. The city will have to raise $50 million dollars for the 2016 Democratic National Convention. But Beth Ervin of Experience Columbus said the Convention could generate 150 to 200 million dollars in Columbus. Competition for the event is stiff. Along with Columbus, Brooklyn, Birmingham, Philadelphia and Phoenix are all vying for the convention. We wanted to know how each of the city's is marketing itself to the site selection committee so we called all of the cities involved in competition to hear their sales pitch. That was Tom Francano of Philadelphia, Christine Harrington of New York, Brian Ross of Columbus, Mark Mettes of Phoenix and Mike Gunn of Birmingham. WOSU Student Intern Khalid Moalim helped to produce this report.
