Findlay Flood Study Still On Schedule

The Army Corps of Engineers says it still plans to finish a study within at least two years on flooding that has plagued areas near Findlay. Officials from the Army Corps were in Findlay this past week to assure local administrators that they will stick to their schedule announced earlier this year. They say the flood study will be completed no later than 2016. That's about 18 months later than first estimated. Hancock County Commissioner Phillip Riegle tells The Courier (http://bit.ly/1pqOni5 ) newspaper in Findlay that officials with Army Corps said they are committed to keeping the study on schedule or maybe moving it ahead. Several Ohio members of Congress have urged the Army Corps to speed up their work on a flood plan for the Blanchard River.
