A 19-year-old college student is improving after surviving a fall from a sixth-floor window of a University of Dayton residence hall. Michael Fuchs is recovering from injuries sustained in the apparent fall from the Marycrest Complex residence hall on Saturday. A university official said his condition was "serious but improving." Police and UD officials are investigating the cause of the fall. It's the second time this month a freshman has fallen from the sixth floor of a university dorm. In the first incident, an 18-year-old man died in what the coroner's office ruled a suicide, but his parents are disputing the conclusion.
